All About Sue Butler Dog Training
I have worked in the animal field for over 25 years. I worked in the veterinary field as an assistant/technician for over six years. I also assisted in managing an animal shelter. In these roles I utilized my training skills to help the animals be seen as the good animals they were. You can feel confident in my ability to take care of your animal's health and well being.

I strongly believe in training each dog and it's human on an individual basis. I work with positive reinforcement training techniques for dogs of all ages. Using this method will make training fun for the dog, which in turn will make training easier for the human. Positive reinforcement training does not mean you will be giving your dog a food treat each time you ask your dog to do something. You will use food treats for a short period of time and then gradually faze them out. Positive techniques will help you gain a strong bond with your dog which will help you to communicate with your dog without food treats. All training is done in your home. This helps me view your dog(s) in its natural environment which in turn helps me see your dog's true personality.
Animals and humans need to be trained to cohabit with each other to form that special bond. We need to learn our dogs' natural instincts to help them adjust to being domesticated. All animals have different personalities, just as we do, and training methods should be structured around each animal's personality.
Having been in the animal field for many years, I have watched the bond between pets and their owners grow. I smile when people refer to a pet as their "kid". I have also seen the frustrations a person can acquire due to lack of proper training of their dog. This is where I can help you and your canine companion.
